First of all, it’s beautiful to see Bevies rallying around these single Mama’s. Thank you, thank you!!! When we empathize with others we are able to enter into their stories and remember, or at least try to understand, how sometimes we are superheroes who are able to do a ton of things on our own, and other days we are humans who could use a helping hand. You guys ROCK, so THANKS!
So, even though I minored in Spanish in college doesn’t mean I can speak it fluently anymore….
I just got off the phone with two of the moms for our Denver outreach and THANK GOD, with His grace, my computer in hand with Google translator, and saying several times, “Yo hablo espanol, pero no practico mucho. Lo siento mi espanol es muy malo, repite, por favor, pero mas despacio…” I was able to learn a list of needs from these beautiful women that would help make raising kids on their own in a cold climate this winter just a little bit easier.
